The Customer Promise-to-Operations Simulator

Create an interactive simulator that checks whether a business can realistically deliver the promises it makes to customers.

Allow users to define promises such as delivery windows, response times, product availability, turnaround times, refund processing, and service guarantees. Let them configure staffing capacity, supplier lead times, workload, business hours, and operational constraints.

Build:

  • A promise-to-process dependency map.

  • A capacity simulator for different demand levels.

  • A detector for promises that depend on unavailable resources or unrealistic timelines.

  • A bottleneck analysis showing which operational step limits delivery.

  • A what-if simulator for staffing changes, supplier delays, and demand spikes.

  • A service commitment register with owners and measurable criteria.

  • A prioritized remediation plan.

  • A report comparing advertised commitments with modeled operational capacity.

Use transparent calculations and user-configurable assumptions. Distinguish modeled feasibility from real-world performance, and never claim a service promise is achievable without sufficient inputs. Include a fictional small business and several failure scenarios.
