Create a data conversion workbench that transforms information between incompatible formats while preserving meaning, relationships, and traceability.
Support CSV, JSON, XML, Markdown tables, and common spreadsheet structures. Let users map source fields to destination fields, define type conversions, normalize dates and currencies, handle missing values, and specify rules for nested records.
Before conversion, analyze the input and show a preview of how records will change. Flag ambiguous mappings, duplicate identifiers, invalid values, lossy transformations, and fields that cannot be represented in the destination format.
Provide a reversible transformation log wherever technically possible, including the original value, transformed value, rule applied, and reason. Generate reusable transformation scripts and validate the exported file against the destination schema.
Include large-file handling, sample-based previews, record-level error reports, and repeatable conversion profiles. Never silently discard data. Clearly identify irreversible changes and protect sensitive data by processing locally where feasible.
