Build an interactive workspace where developers can compare alternative database schemas and evaluate the trade-offs before committing to a design.
Allow users to create or import tables, columns, types, constraints, indexes, relationships, and representative query patterns. Generate competing schema proposals for changes such as normalization, denormalization, new relationships, optional fields, or multi-tenant data separation.
For each proposal, analyze structural complexity, integrity constraints, query implications, migration effort, compatibility risks, and operational assumptions.
Create a visual comparison mode showing which entities change, which queries may need rewriting, and which constraints become stronger or weaker. Generate migration drafts and validation queries for human review.
Include synthetic data generation, schema versioning, and reversible design experiments. Clearly distinguish static analysis from measured database performance. Never guarantee that a schema is faster without representative workload testing.
