Build an interactive process-mining application that discovers how real business workflows differ from their intended procedures.
Users can import event logs containing case IDs, activity names, timestamps, responsible teams, outcomes, and optional reason codes. They can also define an expected process sequence or provide a documented procedure.
The application should:
Reconstruct actual case timelines from event records.
Identify skipped steps, repeated activities, unexpected sequences, and long delays.
Compare successful cases with delayed, failed, or escalated cases.
Detect rework loops and handoffs associated with longer completion times.
Segment results by process type, team, customer category, or time period.
Compare observed workflows with the expected process and highlight deviations.
Estimate the time and volume associated with each exception pattern.
Generate evidence-backed investigation questions and candidate process improvements.
Include a process map, case explorer, exception ranking, and exportable findings report.
Validate timestamps, missing case IDs, duplicate events, and inconsistent event ordering. Do not assume a deviation is automatically a mistake or that correlation proves a cause. Display sample sizes and data-quality limitations alongside every major finding.
