The Business Process X-Ray

Build an interactive process-mining application that reconstructs how work actually moves through a business, rather than relying solely on documented procedures.

Allow users to import timestamped CSV or Excel records containing orders, support tickets, approvals, project tasks, invoices, and status changes. Reconstruct individual process journeys and compare actual paths against the intended workflow.

Identify repeated handoffs, unnecessary loops, stalled cases, inconsistent processing sequences, rework, and unusually long waiting periods. Separate active processing time from elapsed waiting time wherever the data supports that distinction.

Create an interactive process map where users can filter by department, employee role, customer segment, outcome, and time period. Let users compare successful and unsuccessful cases to identify meaningful differences.

For each suspected bottleneck, show the supporting records, sample size, calculation method, and alternative explanations. Generate a prioritized improvement plan with measurable follow-up metrics.

Never infer employee performance or blame individuals from incomplete process data. Preserve privacy and export findings as a visual report and improvement backlog.
