Build a developer tool that generates explicit data contracts from database schemas, sample records, and documented business rules.
Allow users to provide supported SQL table definitions, JSON samples, or structured field descriptions.
Generate:
Machine-readable schemas for selected target formats.
Required-field, type, range, and relationship constraints.
Validation rules for cross-field dependencies.
Example valid and invalid records.
Compatibility reports comparing contract versions.
A detector for fields that are ambiguous, nullable without explanation, or inconsistently represented.
Contract tests for API payloads and data ingestion pipelines.
Documentation linking every rule to its source definition.
Support a clear distinction between constraints directly present in the source schema and rules inferred from examples. Never infer that a field is mandatory merely because it is populated in every sample. Preserve source definitions and require review of inferred constraints before generating production contracts. Include a sample order-processing schema and deterministic validation tests.
