Build an advanced spreadsheet testing application that helps users discover formulas that appear correct but fail under unusual inputs or changing business conditions.
Allow users to upload spreadsheets and inspect formulas, dependencies, named ranges, and cross-sheet references. Detect suspicious formula inconsistencies, hardcoded values embedded in calculated regions, inconsistent rounding, broken references, and calculations that behave unexpectedly around zero, blank cells, negative values, or boundary conditions.
For each selected formula, generate controlled test cases and compare its actual output with an explicitly defined expected result or independently derived calculation. Display a visual dependency graph showing which downstream cells may be affected by a defect.
Provide a safe sandbox for proposed formula changes, side-by-side results, regression tests, and a change log. Preserve the original workbook and never silently overwrite it. Clearly distinguish verified errors from suspicious patterns that require human review. Export test results and proposed fixes to Excel or a review report.
