The Digital Asset Rights & Usage Ledger

Create a digital asset rights management workspace for creators, agencies, publishers, and small marketing teams.

Users should be able to register images, videos, music, fonts, illustrations, templates, and other creative assets, then record their source, creator, license type, permitted uses, restrictions, attribution requirements, purchase evidence, and renewal or expiration dates.

Build the following features:

  1. Rights Profile: Maintain a structured record of what is known and unknown about each asset's usage rights.

  2. Campaign Matching: Check whether an asset's recorded permissions align with a proposed use, such as commercial advertising, client delivery, social media, or redistribution.

  3. Attribution Generator: Create attribution text from verified metadata and clearly flag missing fields.

  4. Evidence Vault: Attach license documents, receipts, and source URLs to the asset record.

  5. Expiration Monitor: Identify licenses requiring review before a planned publication date.

  6. Usage History: Record where each asset was used and which campaign or project consumed it.

  7. Review Queue: Prioritize assets with unclear ownership, conflicting restrictions, or missing evidence.

Include search, tags, bulk import, CSV export, and an asset detail view.

Do not assume that downloading an asset grants commercial rights. Treat automated permission matches as preliminary checks rather than legal conclusions, and preserve the exact source evidence for human review.
