The Spreadsheet-to-Form Experience Designer

Create an application that converts a spreadsheet's column structure into a polished, user-friendly data-entry form specification.

The user can upload an Excel or CSV file, or manually define columns and sample records.

Analyze each field to recommend:

  • Appropriate input controls, such as dates, dropdowns, currency, email, quantities, and long text.

  • Required versus optional fields, with explanations based on the available evidence.

  • Validation rules, including numeric ranges, unique identifiers, date dependencies, and allowed values.

  • Conditional fields that appear only when a related answer meets a defined condition.

  • Sensible field grouping, labels, help text, and error messages.

  • Duplicate detection and record-level consistency checks.

Provide a live form preview, editable rules, a schema view, and a test mode where users can enter deliberately invalid data to verify the validation behavior.

Allow export of the form specification as JSON and generate implementation-ready HTML, JavaScript, or React code.

Never silently discard original columns or data. Mark inferred rules as suggestions requiring confirmation, preserve source-to-field mappings, and warn about ambiguous column meanings. Include tests for required fields, malformed values, duplicate entries, and conditional logic.
